Tour of the Undead

A Voodoo, Vampire and Ghost trilogy
Learn why the mystical reputation of New Orleans is as much of the reality of New Orleans History as Mardi Gras, Jazz and Creole foods. A cultural masterpiece of the motivations, fears and turmoil surrounding the growth of our town amidst intense class rivalries and power struggles and the Spiritual power sought to overcome. Colonial Catholicism meets Voodoo, European witchcraft, Native American Shamanism and Freemasonary to form a hybrid of Spirituality still sizzling its Gumbo brew! Even the Spanish inquistion couldn't put out that fire-though they tried in vain!

Join an intense look at the other side of New Orleans Spirits. Learn the old ways our people called, banished and worked with the spirit world, coupled with the modern spiritual and paranormal techniques of today.

A macabre marriage of true horror, fear and folklore providing a lurid alternative history mixed with much magick! The most in-depth tour around—a full French Quarter jaunt of history and mystery. Visit haunted sites, see slave-quarter, a haunted pirate's pub, some of the oldest New Orleans buildings and even a vampire’s lair. Learn cruel French execution tales, and hear of the documented encounters with the spirit world that created New Orleans to be known as America's most haunted city. See ghost pictures from America’s first “Ghost Photo Gallery” displaying paranormal photography from the sites on Bloody Mary’s tours and travels. Explore the true history of Vampires; Just who were the Nosferatu in New Orleans , it seems the 19th century ran rampant with them-the same time that our death toll  soared!

Voodoo Altars
Mambo Bloody Mary here at her Marie Laveau Voodoo altar begins her work by giving offerings and receiving blessings which she extends to you from the spirits housed within. Inviting the Spirits to tag along and give their protection gives respect to our sometimes unseen neighbors. Our adventure includes a Voodoo Ceremonial "opening of the gates to the spirit world " and this night tour becomes a ritual in its own right and therefore helps open your third eye and extends protection too! We will then Discuss traditional altar objects, offerings and learn the truth about voodoo as we walk throughout the French Quarter and see some Historic Voodoo Locations. Is Voodoo a cult or a religion? Is it Devil worship? Sample a bit of Hoodoo-the folk magic end of the religion and try my homemade Love potion #9, learn of gris-gris bags or Mojo, voodoo dolls, and banish most of the curses and black magic obsession that permeate the Hollywood Voodoo Image- So delve into the real Creole Voodoo, Salute La Grande Zombie and all the Loa, especially Voodo Queen Marie Laveau  and realize some of the ancestral magick that is truly more of this ancient ecstatic religion- the oldest religion known to man at its American capital, New Orleans with a  initiated voodoo  priestess as your guide!

Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop
This pirate’s Pub is the reputed oldest bar in America. Records of the construction can only reach in paper back to 1772 yet some examiners have claimed its building as far back as 1722! Was this a blacksmith shop, a private club for a Jolly Rogers gang of  said bloodthirsty privateers, and or simply a place to move contraband by our rugged rogues of yesteryear? What it was and what it has become are legends to be explored. Spirits haunt this old lair and you can see a ghost horse bending for a drink of water posing for this picture. My signature ghost story rated number 5 of Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop in “World’s Ten Creepiest Destinations” still showing on Discovery. I also have some stories here on History Channel’s, ”Famous Streets of the World.” and "newest show "America the Wright Way"

Julie, The Octoroon Mistress
Julie lives and wanders though her old Royal street home-does she wander alone? Dead since the 1830’s Julie walks, some say, in the buff-though I have never seen her nude I have many personal encounters with her through the years to share. She has shown herself very distinctly to me and 1/2 of my tour one cold December night, it is more common for only some to see apparitions and others not to, than  gpr all to see, hear, feel and smell things from the other side simultaneously! This story is featured on an A&E special I put together and appeared in called, “More Haunted Houses” and currently runs today!

Madame LaLaurie
Some say Madame LaLaurie walks In evil’s footsteps. The infamous Ghost House on Royal Street has all the makings of the classic ghost story, exaggerated as years go by, but true horror in the history of the house and its evil trails left behind. Many a ghostly tale recorded here since the mid 1830’s and apparitions and oddities still go on there today. Here is just one picture captured on a tour/ghost hunt at the spot where a young girl fell to her death-or perhaps pushed, some say by Madame Lalaurie herself. One death of many that fell at the hand of the Mad Madame. Come hear the tales of torture, political clout and grandiosity of this Creole aristocrat. Was she a vampire? Is this the Vampire's Lair? Was this medical experiments of Yellw Journalosm-decide for yourself as theis tory unfolds. Recently purchased by actor Nicholas Cage who says refuses to sleep over a night in his own house but feels safer in hte house next door!
