I have been traveling and exploring all through America, France, Scotland, England, Mexico and Italy in the last 20 years professionally on spirit quests to sacred sites, Haunted Castles, Cathedrals, Catacombs and graveyards but of course focus on a lifetime of research within my town of New Orleans, My childhood neighborhood of Haunted Mid-City where the cemeteries have been my playground since a toddler and of course Haunted French Quarter where so many of my ancestors lived thorough the generations. There are many listed methods for paranormal investigations. Though I use some of these concepts to tap in to record anomalous activities, I prefer my own methods-spirt taught and learned through trial and error. .Part of my job is to help you achieve a state where you become more aware of the many worlds around you and connect with them. Removing fear is part of the process. I have tried many of the prescribed methods that tv ghost hunters depend on but have found some of the gadgets rather unreliable and sometimes more time is spent with them then with the spirits-. Certain weather conditions like humidity and areas with electromagnetic interferences coming through disrupt the mechanics.Though the electronics have gotten better over time many eager investigators do not use them correctly . Always sweep the area before investigaion starts and TURN OFF THE MCROWAVE LOL.
I prefer to enhance my own natural inner abilities and not become gadget—dependent. Now a few researchers I have worked with like Bernice Barlowe, use Hertz rate machines from NASA which are much more reliable though harder to come by. EMF meters- again I dont really trust any of them as proving anything but have a few. As advised from a trusted collegue Willliam Wallace suggests the best are LUTRON 822A-digital readout or maybe the K2 EMF meter -the K2 gives great results but has a switch issue that may cause all of the great supposed communication blinking of the lights-
High Contact Thermometers—to record and locate temperature changes associated with spirit activity-warning these may not prvve anything and can go thrugh spiirts to nearby walls and not record ambient temperature sometimes regular digital thermoters can even work better
Magnetic Compass— needle movement indicates activity-Old school
Flashlight— for light (or if its big enough for protection LOL)
Camera(s)— for ghost photos- digital or 800 speed film preferred
Voice Activated Digital Recorder— for EVP’s (electronic voice phenomenon
